Kofax e-Transactions is an add-on application for Kofax Transformation Modules that automates the electronic delivery of documents to a business process via secure email, removing the need for printing, mailing, scanning and data entry. Kofax e-Transactions allows enterprises to eliminate paper as quickly as possible, potentially at its source, and provides the most cost-effective and easy-to-manage mechanism for on-ramping business-related content into a business process as it is generated.

Mail opening, scanning and data entry from paper documents represent significant ongoing costs for enterprises, typically up to 30 cents per document. Kofax e-Transactions allows enterprises to eliminate these costs and deliver documents in electronic format directly into a business process. Document storage costs are also significantly reduced. For the sender of a document, there are no per-transactions fees to pay using Kofax e-Transactions.

Kofax e-Transactions provides instant electronic delivery of documents into a business process, eliminating the processing delays caused by paper handling and data entry. As a result, invoices can be processed for payment more quickly, and application forms and other customer documents can be made available to customer service representatives in seconds, not days.

Electronic document delivery means fewer processing exceptions caused by lost documents and data entry errors. If documents are found to be incomplete when received or the delivery fails, Kofax e-Transactions automatically notifies the sender so they can act immediately to rectify the situation.

Simple to Use

With Kofax e-Transactions, documents can be delivered electronically to a business process by simply "printing" them from a Microsoft Windows application. The free KeT Sender application intercepts the print stream and sends documents instantly via secure email to the KeT Receiver application, from where they can be incorporated into a business process – no printing, mailing, scanning or data entry necessary!

Flexible

Kofax e-Transactions allows the business-related content in any document to be delivered electronically. For example, a vendor can send invoices electronically to a buyer by printing them from the ERP system, or a buyer can send purchase orders to a supplier electronically, replacing fax and surface mail. Kofax e-Transactions also supports EDI streams and generic XML data, so enterprises can use Kofax e-Transactions to on-ramp content from organizations with electronic delivery capabilities already in place.

Cost Effective

Compared to other electronic methods of data exchange — such as EDI, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars and take many months to configure — Kofax e-Transactions is simple and cost effective to deploy. As a result, electronic exchange is viable for more documents and processes, and return on investment is increased.

Secure

Kofax e-Transactions uses a combination of symmetric and asymmetric encryption to provide secure transmission between sending and receiving parties. Digital signatures are also supported to verify the authenticity of the delivered information. Kofax e-Transactions also provides automatic confirmation of document receipt back to the sender, reducing the number of queries and calls between the parties.
